Objectives:

1. understand the benefits and limitations of telemedicine in the practice of ophthalmology

2. understand the requirements to provide hybrid telehealth services to ophthalmology patients in a medically compliant manner


Dr. Malinowski is dedicated to education and advancements in vitreo-retinal disease. She is the author of numerous articles and has lectured extensively.  In addition, Dr. Malinowski is a clinical instructor at Wayne State University where she also serves on the admissions committee for the ophthalmology residency program. She scored first in the nation on the Ophthalmology National Board Examination and serves as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Malinowski is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Vitreous Society. She is on staff of the William Beaumont Hospital, Straith Hospital, St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital Center, and the Detroit Medical Center Hospitals.

This meeting is being co-sponsored by the University of Minnesota.
